CASTANE WITH SOUR CHERRIES – A SWEET TREAT

Castane [kas’tane] (literally translated as chestnuts) is another sweet treat my mother used to make when I was little. While working on EAT LIKE MOLDOVANS cook book, we remembered this recipe and this brought back so many beautiful memories from my childhood. These little donut shapes are so easy to make and amazingly delicious. The combination of chocolate, sour cherries and short crust pastry will definitely make you ask for more.
